Just Burgers – Spring, TX
Have you ever craved a great burger but didn’t feel like firing up your own grill? When we have that feeling, we pick up some awesome burgers from Just Burgers down the street. These burgers are fire grilled and placed on delicious, pretzel-like buns. I am a huge fan of great bread, so these buns really caught and kept my attention.
This is definitely a family-owned restaurant and it took us a couple of years to stumble on it. We started eating there in mid-2010 and they get our business at least once a month. On our busier months, they probably see us every week or two. Not only is their food great, but it is cheap enough to stay within our eating out budget. If you and your family are ever looking for new places to try, I would highly suggest stopping at least once at your local places just in case there is a diamond in the rough like this one.
To give you a quick idea of their menu, here are a few of my favorites:
Cajun Fries: Hand cut potatoes fried with spicy seasoning – $1.69
Onion Rings: Huge onion ring slices battered and fried – $2.59
One-Third Pounder: 1/3 pound hand-made patties seasoned with salt and pepper, fire-grilled to order, and placed on a pretzel-like bun with the toppings of your choice – $3.99
Half Pounder: 1/2 pound hand-made patties seasoned with salt and pepper, fire-grilled to order, and placed on a pretzel-like bun with the toppings of your choice – $4.99
Grilled Chicken: Marinated chicken on a ciabatta bun with your choice of toppings – $4.99
Veggie Burger: Specialty patty with sautéed mushrooms and onions with your choice of bun and toppings – $3.99
Fish on a Bun: Grilled or fried fish with your choice of bun and toppings – $6.99
Types of Cheese at 69 cents per slice:
Shakes and Malts
Chocolate, vanilla, or Oreo – $3.69
Our Recent Trip
On our most recent visit, we ordered two One-Third Pounders to go. I asked for lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and mustard. My husband asked for the same plus onions. They were ready, waiting, and hot within 10 minutes. We paired them at home with a shared small bag of baked lays. The patties are always well-seasoned and juicy plus the order is always right, which is nice for a raw onion hater like me. I hate having to complain.
As you may see below, the total came to $8.64 with tax.
Finding inexpensive places to eat that offer delicious meals is always tough, so I keep the local places like Chinese Wok and Just Burgers in mind whenever we are in the mood to have someone else do the cooking.
Do you have a favorite burger joint? What do you like best about it?
